Social Media (SM) is a comunication revolution. It´s clear. Almost everybody have internet and interact in Social Networks. It´s the principal comunication channel to young people and Companies as well. Then, It´s would be interesting know about it´s short term evolution.
The principal key in SM is Adaptability, persons use SM to cover human needs as well as to potential their emotional sociability and keeping in touch "fisic world", learning and getting knowledge having fun.
At the moment we live in a chaotic and changeable enviroment, so it´s interesting know whats predict expert about SM trends on 2013.

Instructive Marketing; To be simple and to be Honest. Sell your products honestly, dont sell fume. Show the really products characteristics. Don´t lie costumer because they are strongest and they could knock down your organization by Social Networks, sharing damage information about your business.

I agree with you about the meaning of Social Media and mostly about the trend for 2013. But it starts getting interesting when you start to try to exploit Social Media for your own (commercial) purposes. Reading your post I remembered a comment of a friend of mine: "Social Marketing is like sex during adolescence. Everybody wants to do it, nobody knows how to do it and when we finally do it, the surprise isn't even better."
